The challenge in this work consisted in structurally reiforcing a concrete roof parapet in a 15-story building vulnerable to break off in an earthquake . The solution was modulating an existing metal roof every 4 1/2 feet in it´s transverse direction and reinforcing also the side edges with  steel 3"x 1/4" angles . Achieving total rigidity to the parapet and the entire space .

Later an existing awning was replaced by designing two pair of  3" x 1/4" angle steel arms to tighten a new white PVC canvas covering a terrace .
